Lake Iseo is the quieter, less-touristed cousin of Lake Como and Lake Garda. At its center sits Monte Isola, the largest lake island in southern Europe — car-free, covered in olive groves, and reachable by a 5-minute ferry.
The lakeside towns of Sarnico, Lovere, and Iseo itself offer waterfront dining, boat rentals, and easy access to the Franciacorta wine region just south of the lake.

30 minutes by car via SP469. Take the exit toward Sarnico for the southern shore, or continue to Iseo town for the ferry to Monte Isola. No direct public transport from Seriate. By public transport: take ATB bus to Bergamo station (15 min), then Trenord train toward Brescia and change for the Iseo line. Alternatively, direct SAB buses run to Sarnico on the lake during summer months.
